St Peter are Jersey cup champions for first time in 12 years

St Peter beat St Paul's 4-3 to win Jersey's premier cup competition for the first time since 2007.

Kieran Lester gave St Paul's an early lead with a fine lob from outside the box, before Ruben Mendes and youngster Sol Solomon turned things around at Springfield.

St Paul's levelled through Luke Watson before half-time, but after the break St Peter opened up a two-goal lead, Solomon with his second and Karl Hinds with the fourth.

Adam Trotter pulled one back from distance late on, but St Peter held firm to seal their 11th Le Riche Cup win and get revenge for Saturday's defeat by their rivals in the league.
