St Helier to become carbon neutral by 2030
St Helier is aiming to become 'carbon neutral' over the next decade after plans were backed last night at a Parish Assembly.
Calls to reduce the parish's carbon footprint were put forward by Deputy Rob Ward who wants St Helier to become carbon neutral by 2030.
It follows a similar island-wide proposal that is set for debate in the States Assembly next month.
Constable Simon Crowcroft will now work on drawing up a carbon-neutral action plan by the end of the year.
