A medicinal cannabis industry would be a 'huge opportunity' for Jersey, according to the island's Chief Minister.
The Economic Development Minister, Senator Lyndon Farnham wants to become a world leader in cultivating the drug.
He's working with businesses to issue permits and has made reassurances that the industry will be heavily regulated.

The question over what Senator Le Fondre thought of the plans to license medicinal cannabis growth in Jersey was raised at the Institute of Directors mid year review this morning.
He spoke alongside the island's top civil servant, Charlie Parker.
Topics including Brexit preparations, food security, public sector reform, beneficial ownership rules were raised.
