Guernsey's St Jacques Vikings are aiming to move up to the Zoo Sports Shield after clinching the Sussex Division Two title on Saturday.
Ray Smart's side, who act as a development team for Guernsey Raiders, beat rivals Barns Green 43-7 at Footes Lane to be confirmed as champions after dominating the league all season.
The KGV club now hope to make the switch to a new league structure, where Jersey Reds' amateur Athletic side play, to give their players tougher competition.
