150 new work permits for seasonal hospitality staff in Jersey
Seasonal staff from outside Europe could get a new permit to work in Jersey's hospitality industry.
Many hospitality businesses have struggled with recruitment in recent years.
The government wants to encourage staff from outside the European Economic Area to come to the island for short stints.
The permits allow staff to work in the island for up to nine months before having to leave the island for at least three months.
The scheme will initially be launched for a two-year trial period.
