The first social housing provider has signed up to the Rent Safe scheme in Jersey.

Christians Together in Jersey owns 143 properties which have been awarded four and five star ratings.

The States Assembly approved the law to provide minimum standards for rental properties in September 2018.

Being accredited under the voluntary scheme means tenant welfare is taken seriously, issues will be resolved quickly and properties will continue to meet housing standards.

Christians Together in Jersey will receive a certificate they can show to tenants and will be put on the Rent Safe register with other accredited landlords.
