Jersey man killed in French avalanche

A 61-year-old Jersey man was killed in an avalanche in France on Friday.

Zbigniew Hermaszewski was on a skiing trip in the French Alps.

A Foreign Office spokesperson said:"Our staff are assisting the family of a British man who has died in France."
