Tenerife flights moved to Monday

The Channel Island Travel Group has announced that direct flights to Tenerife from Jersey will now go on Monday, rather than at the weekend.

Yesterday the airline Germania, which was due to operate FlyDirect's routes, filed for insolvency.

CITG have been working to find a solution with another airline. They say whilst a weekend operation was preferred, it was not possible to find any available aircraft to operate on either Saturday or Sunday.

The flights will go each Monday from 11th February until 29th April and will be operated by Smartwings.
