The Salvation Army in Jersey is looking for more volunteers to help out at its cafe and shop.

The charity supports islanders in need through the Bread of Life cafe, where free soup is given out on a daily basis. Staff often check up on people who visit the community hub regularly to make sure they are well.

The charity also runs a shop, lunch clubs and toddler groups.

Next year it is asking for more funding and more volunteers will be needed to help cultivate a plot of land in Gorey.

Islanders who are interested in getting involved with these projects can find out more here.
