Jersey rescue dog voted most heroic pet in the British Isles
A Border Collie from Jersey has been voted the most heroic pet in the British Isles.
Ember is one of the Channel Islands' first search and rescue dogs who's currently training how to use her nose to find people.
She has won herself a year's supply of dog food for her work.
The Insurance Emporium, a Yorkshire-based pet insurance provider, held a competition to find some of the most heroic pets from around the British Isles.
Ember's owner, Carla Mackay, has had her as a family pet since she was a puppy in 2011.
Ember is set to join Jersey's Lowland Rescue team as a ground scenting dog.
