Guthrie leads Roses to series sweep over Uganda

Serena Guthrie's England won 66-37 at the Copper Box to complete a clean sweep over Uganda.

They edged the opener 50-46 in Liverpool before taking the series with a 65-53 victory in the first of two games in London.

It was the Roses' first appearances in front of their home crowd since winning gold at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

Jersey's Guthrie was named captain to face the She Cranes, picking up the player-of-the-match award in game one.

England and Uganda will meet again in the preliminary stages of the 2019 World Cup, which is being held in Liverpool from 12-21 July next year.
