Draw made for 2019 Inter Games Football Tournament

The draw has been made for the 2019 Inter Games tournament in Anglesey, which is being staged because football is not on the schedule for the NatWest International Island Games in Gibraltar.

Three Channel Islands men's sides will play in a 10-team tournament, while Jersey's women will contest a five-team league.

Jersey's men have been drawn in Group A, the only one with four teams, alongside hosts Ynys Mon, Orkney, and the Western Isles.

Alderney are pitted against 2017 Island Games champions the Isle of Man and Hitra in Group B, while Guernsey, bronze medallists in Gotland, are in Group C with Shetland and first-timers St Helena.

Jersey's women, who also won bronze at the last full Games, will come up against Ynys Mon, Isle of Man, the Western Isles, and Hitra in a league format.

The tournament takes place between 15-22 June, three weeks before the Island Games.
