Around 30 years after his last performance, Sir Ian McKellen is returning to the island.
The actor, well known for playing Gandalf in Lord of the Rings and a number of Shakespearean characters, will visit the Opera House in May as part of his solo tour.
Sir Ian is doing the tour to celebrate his 80th birthday and raise funds for local theatres.
It begins in January in London and will arrive in Jersey on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th May 2019.
