Breast cancer patients urge islanders to get checked
Two women in Jersey who have battled breast cancer are urging people to check themselves.
Rose Shepherd and Tracey Anfray were both diagnosed with the disease in their early 30s after finding small lumps in their breasts.
Rose thought she may have a sporting injury, while Tracey was on holiday applying sun cream on her birthday when she discovered a lump.
One in eight women will be affected by the disease during their life.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they want to use their own experiences to help raise awareness that cancer can strike at any age.
