5G technology to arrive in the Channel Islands

5G technology could be introduced in Guernsey, according to communications provider, Sure.

The telecoms company showcased the possibilities of 5G technology at a special demonstration on the island this morning.

Bosses say developments in the technology could lead to improvements in healthcare, drone technology and driverless cars.

But technology experts in Jersey say that access to 5G for consumers could be years in the making.
