Surge in young people taking apprenticeships in Jersey
The number of students in Jersey choosing to do apprenticeships has shot up by more than 40% in the last year.
Trackers (the Jersey apprentice programme) have been widening what areas to make apprenticeships available in.
The organisation says it's been trying to add schemes to suit the needs of the island, so small apprenticeship areas such as veterinary nursing, brewery and greenkeeping have all been explored in recent years.
A representative from Skills Jersey told ITV News he thinks this has been key to the surge in demand.
