A blind woman in Guernsey has completed an open water swim challenge, raising over £2,000 for charity.

It took only half an hour for Kiri Knight to swim from Rousse to Les Amarreurs, which she originally thought would take an hour.

After setting herself the challenge three years ago, Kiri was recently held back by her health.

But with months of training on her side she was cheered on by droves of supporters to cross the finish line.

All the money raised by Kiri, who is a resident at the Saumarez Park Manor home, will go towards the Guernsey Disability Swimming Group from their JustGiving page.
