Channel Islands Summer call-outs keep RNLI busy
The Jersey lifeboat has rescued four people (including 2 children) from a broken down RIB near the Ecrehous this weekend.
It's engine was overheating and it was rapidly being swept north.
The St Catherine's inshore lifeboat was called out on Saturday night and it towed the rib back to safety.
Meanwhile the Alderney based RNLI lifeboat was called out four times in as many days last month.
The volunteer lifeboat team responded to six shouts in July.
In the first week of this month, the crew have had two shouts from yachts in need.
The most recent incident saw the team tow a 31 ft yacht with mechanical failure from the busy shipping lanes northeast of Alderney to Braye Harbour.
