The head of Jersey's digital sector says the island needs to act to make sure its workforce has sufficient technological skills.

Tony Moretta says equipping people with digital skills should be one of the main priorities for the island, especially with the growth of artificial intelligence and the impact this will have on jobs. He wants more degree education and upskilling options to be accessible on-island to combat the number of young people leaving for university and not returning.

The Digital Jersey Hub has run a series of conferences and classes to educate islanders and more than 3,000 people have attended in the first half of the year.
