Lithium battery suspected to be cause of the fire

The Chairman for Guernsey Recycling has said they suspect a lithium battery started the fire in St Sampsons this morning.

The fire broke out just after 9am this morning (Friday 3rd August) but is now under control.

A full investigation is underway into the lithium battery which was dropped off within a load of electrical waste earlier this morning.
