Same-sex couples are now able to marry in Jersey as new laws come into effect from today.

The move brings Jersey in line with Guernsey and Alderney.

Guernsey has allowed same-sex weddings for more than a year.

Alderney hosted its first same-sex marriage less than two weeks ago.

People can now plan their weddings outside as outdoor ceremonies have also been legalised.
