Deputy calls for States to enforce medicinal cannabis
Deputy Montfort Tadier is asking Jersey's government for an update on introducing medicinal cannabis on the island.
The States approved the use of Sativex, a cannabis based medicine in January, with the aim to introduce other medicinal based products.
However Deputy Tadier is concerned that it is taking too long for the States to approve them, as the issue has "not been given political priority"
The Reform Jersey politician said he thinks the introduction of medicinal cannabis is vital and is always being contacted by people who require such products to help with their illnesses.
Deputy Tadier has been a long campaigner for the introduction of medicinal cannabis having brought petitions in favour to the States in the past.
