Same-sex couples will be able to marry in Alderney from Thursday.

The marriage law was passed last year and received royal consent in December.

Alderney States has now given the final seal of approval, allowing legislation to come into effect.

Dits Preece and Allen Jones will be the first same-sex couple to marry on the island following a 15 year wait.

They are set to tie the knot on Saturday.
