OFC Champions League win is career highlight - Allen
Guernsey footballer Ross Allen says winning the OFC Champions League with New Zealand side Team Wellington is the highlight of his career.
The former Green Lions man scored in both legs of the final as they beat Lautoka FC of Fiji 10-3 on aggregate to seal their first continental title.
It means they have also qualified for the Fifa Club World Cup for the first time, breaking seven years of Auckland domination in the region.
Wellington will travel to the UAE in December where they will face local club Al-Ain in the first round and could meet Liverpool or Real Madrid if they reach the semi-finals.
Allen, who moved to New Zealand at the end of 2017, scored seven times in his debut OFC Champions League campaign and told ITV News he has had a "fairytale" start to life in the country.
