Hospital catering project to begin in mid-May
Work to refurbish units for the catering facilities of Jersey's General Hospital is expected to begin in the middle of May.
Plans were approved last week for all hospital meals to be prepared in kitchens off-site.
The units in St Peter's Technical Park will be refurbished, despite objections from local people.
The unit will be sound-proofed and noisy equipment will only be used during daytime hours, as a result of the concerns.
Camerons Ltd have been chosen to build the project which is expected to take 9 months.
The company say they are committed to engaging with local residents.
