People who suffered child abuse in Jersey are being asked to help develop ideas for a memorial on the island.

Creating a memorial was recommended by the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry as way of the island acknowledging what happened.

Survivors who were failed by Jersey's child care system are being invited to meetings in May and June to discuss different ways of commemorating the abuse.

Ideas so far range from a garden or sculpture to a bursary scheme.
