Jersey's Victoria College to get half a million pound makeover
A fee-paying States school in Jersey will see a half a million pound makeover thanks to a funding approval from the Education Department.
Over £560,000 will be spent at both Victoria College and Victoria Prep for their five-year 'Strategic Plan'.
The college had already saved the money for another building project but say they decided to use it in a way to allow students to benefit more quickly.
A portion of the money will be spent on on new technology, hiring more teachers and offering more bursaries for prospective students.
Dan Pateman, the school's headteacher has said that the increase in funding will allow the institution to provide more support for the boys at the school.
