St Peter FC plan to enter a higher level competition in Kent next season following their maiden UK cup win, according to manager Gary Freeman.

The Jersey club beat Bexley 6-1 to become the first side from outside of the county to lift the Kent Intermediate Challenge Shield.

St Peter won through four away ties to reach the final after being invited to enter the competition by the Kent FA.

Freeman said his side will look to move up a level next year and he hoped other local clubs look at UK competitions to motivate their senior players.
