Competitors in the 37th Guernsey Easter Running Festival can expect to record good times on the event's flat, fast courses, according to the island endurance director.

The festival features four races in four days with two cross country events and a 5k and 10k on the road.

Paul Ingrouille from Guernsey Athletics says the festival is pitched to provide the more than 200 competitors with the opportunity to record personal bests.

Last year local runner Louise Perrio won the women's event, while 16-year-old Jacob O'Hara from Portsmouth AC took the men's honours.

Both are expected to try to defend their titles this weekend.
