A 17 year old from Jersey who won the prestigious Diana Award last year has been asked to co-host this year's ceremony and he's trying to inspire hardworking Channel Islanders to get nominated.

Tom Hughes was the first young person from Jersey ever to be awarded the award - an honour given out in princess Diana's name.

It recognises young people who go above and beyond to make positive changes in their communities.

He was chosen for the award for his voluntary work for St John Ambulance Jersey.

Tom is even being styled by Gucci for the event.

The deadline for 2018 Diana Award nominations is Thursday 12th April. Anyone between the ages of 9-18 are eligible for nomination for an Award.
