La Moye prison to become smoke-free by the end of the year

Jersey's La Moye prison is preparing to become completely smoke-free by the end of this year.

It's all part of the Minister for Home Affairs plan to help inmates quit smoking.

It follows the release of a new consensus statement for Jersey in which top health professionals have signed up to about the use of e-cigarettes, which means e-cigarettes will now be seen as an acceptable choice for prisoners.
