Former Jersey politician calls for more party politics across the Channel Islands

A former leader of a Jersey political party is calling for an increase in party politics across the Channel Islands.

It follows the formation of a new political charter in Guernsey, which includes 14 deputies who have agreed a shared set of values which they say they will follow until the next election in 2020.

Ted Vibert, who led the Jersey Democratic Alliance, says having party politics increases political accountability.
