Award winning Chronic Fatigue film coming to Jersey
An award winning film highlighting the problems for people living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is being shown in Jersey tonight.
The condition, also known as ME, is a long-term illness with a range of symptoms including extreme tiredness. Around 250,000 people in the UK are thought to be living with CFS according to the ME Association.
Unrest tells the story of the film's director Jennifer Brea who became ill with a mysterious fever when she was 28 and studying at Harvard University.
Trying to find answers to her illness she reached out and contacted people living with the same condition, filming them from her bedroom on a laptop.
The film has recently won an award at the Sundance Film Festival and is an Oscar nominee.
It is being screened at the Jersey Arts Centre from 8pm tonight.
