Moonlight marathon coming to Guernsey streets
100 runners are getting set to take to Guernsey's streets in the early hours of Sunday morning for the annual EPIC Moonlight Marathon.
Now in its fourth year, the event gives people the chance to run around the island's coastline during moonlit hours while raising money for Guernsey charity This is EPIC.
The charity funds projects in Uganda. One of its main initiatives is to provide solar panels for homes and community schools for education purposes.
The panels will provide light so that children can be taught for longer hours during the day and can read when they are at home.
Runners have a choice of running a full marathon, a half marathon, five miles or five kilometre distances.
The aim of the event is for people to stay together and finish as a group as the sun rises.
