President of Guernsey's Education Committee resigns

The President of Guernsey's Education Committee, Paul Le Pelley, has announced he's resigning.

He told States members in his closing speech to the assembly.

His plans for a 3 school model for secondary education were defeated earlier today, with States Members opting for an alternative 2-school model instead.
