Jersey's tunnel to close at night

Jersey's tunnel will close during evenings for 3 months for important updates.

The tunnel's lighting system is currently a risk to the public because of its age.

The control system is over 20 years old. The Department for Infrastructure says it could fail at any time so the decision has made to replace it.

The work will be split into two phases and begins on January 8th.

Closures will be each Sunday to Thursday evening from 7pm- 6am until the new system is fitted.
