FAB link through Alderney put on hold over Brexit
The French energy regulator says it needs more clarity on Brexit before construction can start on the proposed FAB link through Alderney.
Bosses behind the electricity link say they need to delay plans while they wait to see what happens with the conditions of the UK's exit from the European Union.
The FAB link aims to run two 700 MW cables from France to Britain, via Alderney's east coast.
The FAB Link Project Director, James Dickson, says he remains 'committed' to finding the best way to proceed so that the project can be completed.
