Skipper Luke Campbell was shown a red card as the Jersey Football Combination lost 3-1 against the Kent County League in the second round of the FA Inter-League Cup.

Adam Trotter gave Jersey a well-deserved lead in the first half at Springfield, showing wonderful composure to round the goalkeeper at close range.

But Kent hit back with two quick-fire goals from George Latham to go in at the break ahead.

Campbell saw red following an off-the-ball incident early on in the second half.

Trotter had another great chance but the home side could not find an equaliser and eventually Kent killed them off, substitute Dan Hanshaw heading in from a long ball.

The Guernsey County Senior League were also knocked out of this year's competition in round two, losing 5-0 away at the Essex & Suffolk Border League earlier this month.
