Guernsey racing driver Andy Priaulx goes for his fourth world title this weekend as the FIA World Endurance Championship reaches its climax in Bahrain.

Priaulx and Ford Chip Ganassi team-mate Harry Tincknell sit third in the GT FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Championship, just 7.5 points behind the leaders with a maximum of 26 points up for grabs.

They have won two races this season - the opener at Silverstone and the most recent stage in Shanghai - and finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Priaulx made the switch to Chip Ganassi and endurance racing in 2016 after a long association with BMW during which time he won three World Touring Car Championships.

The final race in Bahrain will see his number 67 Ford GT travel nearly one thousand kilometres as the team try to overhaul the Ferrari of Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado, and the Porsche of Frederic Makowiecki and Richard Lietz.
