A new anti-bullying service launching in Jersey is looking for volunteers.

DABS will offer free help and support to people to help them overcome problems and has launched during this year's anti-bullying week.

The service is the idea of counsellor Alison Fox, who says she has received 1,500 enquiries in the last 6 years from adults who have been impacted by bullying.

According to her statistics 65% of the people she has helped are females reporting bullying by fellow females, while a vast majority of cases are seen by people who are over the age of 40.

During her career the DABS founder says she has helped and trained people between the ages of nine and 95 to combat bullying and move forward with their lives.
