Channel Islands teams won three medals at the inaugural table tennis Home Countries International in Guernsey.

Jersey’s Luc Miller and Leon Pierre took bronze in the cadet boy’s team event, with Miller also claiming individual bronze, while Guernsey’s Ben Foss won bronze in the junior boy’s singles.

It is the first time the event has been staged with cadets, juniors, and seniors from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man competing alongside each other.

England finished top of the combined standings, with hosts Guernsey fifth and Jersey sixth.

The next Home Countries International is due to be held in the Isle of Man in 2019.
