Chris Tardif named new Guernsey manager
Chris Tardif has been appointed as Guernsey’s new senior men’s representative manager.
The Guernsey FC goalkeeper succeeds Steve Sharman, who stepped down from the role in September after four years in charge.
Since suffering a serious leg-break while playing for the Green Lions a year ago, Tardif has become more involved in coaching.
The former professional was part of Sharman’s backroom team as Guernsey regained the Muratti Vase this summer, and took bronze at the NatWest Island Games in Gotland.
He was interviewed alongside “some excellent applicants” on Monday 23 October, but stood out for his “unquestionable credentials”, according to the chairman of the Guernsey FA, Chris Schofield.
