Guernsey's War Memorial to be repaired this month

Damaged sections of Guernsey's Island War Memorial are being repaired this month.

The memorial was unveiled in 1926 in honour of Islanders killed in the First World War.

It also records the names of those killed in the Second World War and the liberation of Guernsey in 1945.

The work should be finished by the end of the month, in time for the annual dedication of the Gardens of Remembrance on October 26th.
