Plans for medicinal cannabis in Jersey 'by the end of the year'

Jersey's Health Minister says he hopes medicinal cannabis will be available in the island by the end of the year.

Responding to a question from Deputy Montfort Tadier, Senator Andrew Green said the department is currently looking at how to bring in "clinically safe" products into Jersey.

In the States sitting today, the Minister added he has plans to bring forward a proposition for an organ donor opt-out system, meaning everyone will be on the list of organ donors unless they specifically ask not to be.
