Ambulance call outs for mental health issues triple in five years
The number of ambulance call outs for people experiencing mental health issues has nearly tripled in Jersey in the last five years.
New figures show crews dealt with around 150 incidents last year, compared with 50 in 2012.
Figures revealed through a Freedom of Information request also show the amount spent by the Health Department on mental health services.
(N.B. Figures reflect direct costs provided by HSSD and do not include funding to third sector providers and GP's.)
