A memorial mass is being held in St Helier to remember those who died after a tree fell at a festival in Madeira.

Members of the Portuguese community will gather at St Thomas's Church in St Helier to pay their respects to those who died.

The incident happened at the Nossa Senhora do Monte religious festival and killed 13 people and injured 49 others earlier this week.

The Dean of the Church, Monsignor Nicholas France, says the service is a chance for people to remember all who lost their lives in the disaster.
