Sylvans stun North in Priaulx opener
Sylvans stunned the title contenders with a 4-2 win at Northfield in the opening game of the new Priaulx League season in Guernsey.
Robbie Legg put Sylvans ahead before Nigel Hutton levelled for the home side before half-time.
Sam Murray, who made the switch from Sylvans in the summer, gave North the lead after the interval.
But first Euan Melrose, and then a Chris Le Cheminant own goal, swung the game back towards Sylvans, before Matt Maggs added a fourth on the break with the last kick of the game.
This year’s Priaulx League features nine sides for the first time after Manzur were admitted this summer.
Rangers host St Martins in the second match of the season on Friday night.
