Flowers, floats and festivities in Jersey

The streets of St Helier were full of colour today for Jersey's Battle of Flowers.

Dozens of competitors paraded their floral creations along The Avenue in front of thousands of spectators.

St Clement won the top prize at this year's Battle of Flowers parade in Jersey.

Their underwater and tropical theme wowed the judges, which included tropical fish, a sea dragon and an enormous purple octopus.

But of course there were plenty of other floral festivities on offer.
