Deputy Lewis has been found to have breached the States code of conduct, following questioning by the Privileges and Procedures Committee.
The Committee says it will release a full report on their findings, including what action they think the States Assembly should take as a result.
According to the Greffier of the States, this could include:
A personal statement of apology
Suspension from the States for a maximum of seven days
Formal censure
A vote of no confidence in his role as Chair of the Public Accounts Committee (a role he has already temporarily stood down from)
