Jersey woman receives special award for courage

A woman from Jersey has been given the island's highest award for courage.

Sally Minty-Gravett MBE was given the Churchill Award for Courage at a special reception hosted by the Bailiff last night.

The 60-year-old became the oldest person to complete a double-channel swim last August, completing it in a time of 36 hours 26 minutes.

She is only the fifth recipient of the award since it was started in 1965.
